Rafa Roeder is an interdisciplinary artist based in London, working with digital technology on immersive installations and performances. Her work explores ideas of embodied time, memory and subjectivity through blending technological instruments and body. Her concerns stem from how humans perceive interact and relate with the systems surrounding them—technological, political, emotional, and scientific.  This relationship are articulated through various technology-based processes:  3D moving image, motion capture, VR, AI, generative art and electronics. Calling attention to the interplay of body and mind through a digital lens, she examines identity through auto - representation and is dedicated to making technology and complex ideas accessible. 

Her work has been exhibited in various festivals and venues including MACBA (Contemporanean art museum, Argentina), CINECIEN (Scientific film festival, Argentina), Mutek (Electronic music and digital arts festival, Canada) and Somerset House Studios (Amplify’s Residency, UK). She is part of Mutek’s Amplify cohort since 2019 and was also a film professor at EPIC Film School. She is currently undertaking an MFA in Computational Arts at Goldsmiths, University of London.
